- In December 2007, Joint Commission
International accredited the Hospital for
complying with international norms regarding
safe and high-quality patient care.
- The Center of Multi-organ Transplants is
the only one in Mexico that has been
nationally certified by the Secretary of
Health for carrying out all types of
transplants in the Hospital, which has the
internationally certified National Marrow
Donors Program® for bone marrow transplants.
- SIEMENS has recognized Hospital San José
Tec de Monterrey as a Center of Excellence
in Mexico.
- The Hospital has received certification
from the Secretary of Health’s Board of
General Health.
- Since 2007, the Hospital has attained
the Distinctive H, a certification granted
by the Secretary of Health through the
Department of Alimentary Services for
complying and exceeding with the hygiene
standards required by the Official Mexican
Norms.
- In 2004, during the Extraordinary Summit
of the Americas, the White House selected
the Hospital San José Tec de Monterrey as
the hospital to be used in case of a medical
emergency involving the President of the
United States and/or members of his
entourage.
For
the 2002 United Nations International Conference
on Financing for Development held in Monterrey,
U.S. President George W. Bush designated
Hospital San Jose the choice for himself and his
staff of over 200 highly qualified,
board-certified physicians. Many doctors speak
English as their second language and had
received some postgraduate training in the
United States, Canada or Europe. The hospital
has cutting-edge technology and performs
cardiovascular bypass surgeries and multiple
organ transplants. A large hemodialysis center
and an extremely busy bariatric surgery center
are also featured. Close affiliation to the
leading medical school makes this one of the
leading research centers in the country.
Highly specialized physicians, recognized for
their experience, and certified by the Board of
Health conduct their medical practice at
Hospital San José Tec de Monterrey. In 2007,
Hospital’s San José Tec de Monterrey Medical
Direction reinforced its certification process
to ensure the highest-quality medical practice
for the benefit of our patients. The revision of
the certification credentials and privileges of
more than thirteen hundred physicians affiliated
to the institution took place. Through this
initiative, periodic evaluation of their
membership has been reinforced and will be kept
underway
